I was doing a quote recently in Wilmore.
The lots aren’t huge. Pretty typical for Charlotte’s inner core. But here’s the thing, because it’s the inner core, the land alone is being valued around $2 million per acre by the city. And usually, the county is conservative.
So I’m looking at this backyard and there are a few stumps just sitting there, taking up space. Meanwhile, the homeowner’s kids have a limited area to play.
I told him straight:
“You’re sitting on some of the most valuable dirt in the city.
You’ve got to use every square inch of it.”
Now compare that to somewhere like Matthews, where land might be valued closer to $20K per acre. Different equation.
But in a place like Wilmore?
Leaving a stump in your yard just doesn’t make sense.
